Do I have to be nude? |
No, however most models tend to disrobe, partially or fully, at their
discretion. |
Do you shoot men or couples, too? |
Yes. |
Are there seasonal time constraints as to when we can shoot? |
Generally the climate must allow for the model's comfort for our desired
shoot. For California shoots, this typically means Spring, Summer, or Fall, at the model
and photographer's discretion. For Hawaii shoots, any time of year is ok. Check with John
to see when he will be where, to avoid travel fees. |

How do I prepare for a shoot? |
A few hours before our shoot, I suggest wearing loose fitting clothing
which will not leave visible marks on your body if you wish to shoot in the nude. Bras or
tight undergarments especially leave visible marks. Tan lines are to the model's
preference. Laying out or using a tanning bed prior to the shoot may reduce tan lines if
they are dramatic. |
Do I need make-up? |
Minimal make-up is normally suggested as the photographs highlight a
"natural" theme. |
Who keeps the negatives? |
The photographer uses the negatives while making prints for the model.
With specific instructions, the model may then take charge of the negatives. |
Will any of my photographs be used in public displays
(galleries/exhibits, etc.)? |
No. To be displayed in any public fashion, the photographer must have a
model's written release on file, or he may be open to severe legal penalties. It is not my
intent to have any private session work used for public display. It is for your private
enjoyment and/or display in your home. All models appearing in the galleries on this site have given specific written
permission to have their images displayed there. |
Are other photographic services available? |
Yes. Retouching, tinting, framing, etc. are available on an individual
basis. |
Are more erotic poses allowed? |
Whatever you would like to express as part of your sexuality and human
nature is acceptable to me, with prior discussion of what you'd like to bring forward.
Self-expression to me is not censored as long as it doesn't seek to harm yourself or
others. |
